About HIFAF
HIFAF is more than an event, it’s a space where filmmakers, writers, performers, designers, and dreamers gather to explore storytelling beyond the screen.
Our Story
HIFAF (Himachal International Film & Arts Festival) is a cultural initiative based in the Himalayan region that combines cinema with diverse art forms.
We believe that meaningful change begins with creativity, with stories passed from hand to hand, conversations sparked under starlit skies, and art made accessible to everyone.
Our Mission
HIFAF positions itself as a space where independent voices can flourish, tradition meets experimentation, and screenings extend beyond the screen into deeper community engagement.
Rather than simply curating a festival, we describe ourselves as “building a shared home for art.” Our activities include village outreach programs, workshops, film curation, and multi-day events in the hills designed to be immersive and community-focused.
Our Vision
“To grow into a cultural movement rooted in the Himalayas, where cinema meets all forms of art, and where people return not just for what’s shown, but for what’s shared.”
We envision creating spaces for evolving traditions, honest collaboration, and creative expression that develops sustainably over time.
